Workshops and Training

We are committed to increasing our clients' internal capabilities to meet their business goals. We work with our clients to develop workshops and training specifically targeted to meet their knowledge needs, and we create targeted workshops or training, or customize existing training, to specifically fit the culture and goals of each client group.

Our current workshops include the trainings that facilitate learning on the following topics:

  • Internal Consulting Skills (two-day workshops and follow-up focused modules)
  • This workshop helps employees identify their internal customers and develop the skills to become true internal consultants. Topics include the difference between managing and consulting, setting client expectations, defining project boundaries, determining success criteria, the role of the trusted adviser, giving and receiving feedback, prioritizing your workload, alternatives to yes, and setting success metrics.
  • Follow-up modules, from one to three hours in length, are customized to meet the just-in-time needs of your employees.
  • Issues of Knowledge Retention in the Aging Workforce
  • How do you know if your organization is about to face a knowledge drain? What steps can you take to build a culture of knowledge sharing before it becomes a crisis? How does knowledge retention affect talent management, succession planning, and recruitment and retention strategies? How do you transfer knowledge across generations? These topics and more are covered in this one-day workshop. Action plans are developed for immediate implementation.
  • Setting Knowledge Management Strategies
  • Most organizations are operating quite lean, so making the best decisions about where to put your knowledge management efforts is critical. This workshop helps you define critical knowledge needs; determine the priority work for your organization; and identify sponsors, stakeholders, and resource needs.
  • Defining and Sharing Critical Project Knowledge
  • Projects can range from product development teams to market assessments, but all of them include knowledge gained from experience and project insights. Capturing and sharing that knowledge quickly can enhance the performance of the organization.
  • Effective Knowledge Transfer for Organizations
  • Knowledge transfer techniques vary if you are working with a retiring individual, a team, a group, or between organizations. Codification, protection of intellectual property, and effective collaboration are a few of the issues organizations face. This workshop reviews the various situations and needs created in knowledge transfer. Additional training builds the capabilities specific to the needs of each client group.

We also offer additional workshops to meet the needs of our business clients.
